What is rest and how do we find sustainable ways to take care of our nervous systems?

I have worked on my own nervous system support following a debilitating menopause and life-threatening pulmonary embolisms post-surgery.

Living with a stutter I have found nervous system support has been essential to help me to feel grounded and safe.

During this session, I will continue to share ways to take care of your nervous system through sustainable self-care.

You will:

Be guided through a soothing face massage working on relaxation. This boosts circulation throughout the mind-body incorporating face yoga.

Move in restorative & mindful ways to shift stagnant energy promoting a sense of wellbeing and Rest in a guided meditation which is designed to integrate all of the senses and promote a feeling of restfulness.

The Art of Rest : A gentle self-care retreat exploring relaxation, presence, and the power of conscious rest.

In a world that asks us to move faster, this retreat is an invitation to do the opposite. Join me for a deeply nourishing self-care experience devoted to stillness, slowing down, and true rest. This 2 hour retreat is designed to gently guide your nervous system out of “doing” mode and into a state of softness, presence, and restoration.

Through mindful practices that calm the body and quiet the mind, you’ll be supported to slow your breath, soften your face, and reconnect with a sense of inner ease.

What We’ll Explore
Stillness & Slowing Down
A guided journey into rest, helping you release urgency and return to a slower, more grounded rhythm.

Face Yoga & Facial Relaxation
Gentle face yoga practices to release tension held in the jaw, eyes, forehead, and neck supporting both nervous system regulation and a feeling of deep relaxation.

Mantra & Affirmations
A deep dive into the use of mantra and affirmations as tools for soothing the mind, shifting inner dialogue, and cultivating a sense of safety and self-compassion.

Extended Yoga Nidra with Crystal Singing Bowls
A long, immersive Yoga Nidra practice accompanied by crystal singing bowls, guiding you into profound rest where healing can occur effortlessly. This is a practice of conscious rest no effort required.

What we will enjoy:
Homemade sweet treats and my much-requested Golden Milk, warming and grounding.

No experience is needed. This retreat is suitable for anyone feeling tired, overstimulated, or in need of spaciousness and care. Come as you are. Leave feeling slower, softer, and deeply rested.

RESTFUL : A soothing session to support your nervous system

I am delighted to be back at Vayu Yoga in Guildford. During this session I will share ways that you can take care of your nervous system through sustainable self care during the winter season. Continuing with the theme of Restful I will guide you through connecting with and lovingly care for your inner child using the concept of parts therapy.

During this session you will:

Be guided through a soothing face massage working on relaxation and soothing acupressure points.

Rest in a guided meditation which is designed to integrate all of the senses and promote a feeling of restfulness.

Be guided to use symbolic tools - nesting dolls and flowers to create a safe and restful environment.

There will be some writing to encourage release, but this is optional.

Following from the beautiful online offering I am delighted to be co facilitating this in person session with my dear friend Emma Martin and we would love to invite you to A place for peace. A place for peace offers you an opportunity to reconnect back to yourself with a selection of integrative and self care modalities.

Take a sacred pause from the pace of life and invite in space for nourishment, calm, and conscious self-care. Pause & Replenish a soothing 60-minute session designed to support rest, release and reconnection with yourself

This workshop blends restorative movement with a facial tension release ritual using self-massage techniques to ease the jaw, temples, forehead, and neck areas where many of us hold stress unconsciously.

Whether you're feeling in need of rest or simply want to be this session offers a therapeutic hand for your nervous system and a gentle invitation back into your body.

What to Expect:

· Restorative postures with support from props

· Self-massage and facial release techniques to ease jaw, eye, and forehead tension

· A guided relaxation (inspired by Yoga Nidra) to promote deep rest
