Grounded Intentions - An intention setting workshop

Join us for our 1.5-hour online workshop hosted by myself and Kim Palmer from clementine.This year, we’re combining reflection and intention setting with holistic techniques like guided visualisations to help you let go of what no longer serves you from 2024 and to get your mind and body ready and in the present for 2025. It’s practical, but also deeply nurturing for your body and soul.

Details

Date: Thursday 9th January, 2025.
Time: 8pm - 9:30pm
Location: Online via Zoom - here
Cost: £5

This workshop is designed to:

  • Review 2024: Let go of the sh**ty stuff and hold onto the good.

  • Set clear, actionable intentions for 2025 and prepare for a fresh and grounded start to 2025.

Let’s be honest—our daily lives are filled with non-stop "do, do, do." This workshop gives you the time to stop, reflect, and realign.

What to Expect:

In this session, we will guide you through:

  1. Reflecting on 2024 with prompts like:

    • I felt joy when…

    • I’m most proud of…

    • I wish I had done more of…

    • I wish I had done less of…

    • I was most stressed when…

    • I couldn’t live without…

    • Lightbulb moments…

  2. Letting go of what’s no longer serving you through guided visualisations/tapping rituals.

  3. Setting your most important intention for 2025 in a practical, collaborative way, and grounding yourself for a present and intentional 2025.

What to Bring:
Just a pen and paper—everything else will be workshopped together.

THE COLLECTIVE HUG…

I started the collective hug during the pandemic to bring the community together. It is a beautiful soothing place to connect with self and others. These hugs focus on mantras, affirmations and gentle face massage and pressure points which work on self care.

For these journeys you will need:

  • something to write with and something to write on.

  • something comfortable to sit on then perhaps to lie on - feel free to be in bed.

  • a soothing face oil and hand cream as we may greet our faces and hands.

  • an invitation to be yourself - as you are

  • a reminder you do not have have to keep your video on and this is not group therapy so you don’t have to speak - I suggest keeping cosy in your nest! I am going to be available to you after the session if you would like to have a chat.

When: Thursday 13th February see below on how to book. A group session via zoom.

Time: 8.00pm - 8.45pm

Cost: £5.00

How to book? The Collective hug in November is in collaboration with my friends Clementine. To join you need to register here: Please do get in touch if you would like the link sent via email. The session starts at 8pm. I will start promptly at 8pm and unfortunately unable to let anyone in after that time.

RESTFUL |

What is rest and how do we find sustainable ways to take care of our nervous systems?

I have worked on my own nervous system support following a debilitating menopause and life-threatening pulmonary embolisms post-surgery.

Living with a stutter I have found nervous system support has been essential to help me to feel grounded and safe.

During this session, I will continue to share ways to take care of your nervous system through sustainable self-care during the winter season.

You will:

Be guided through a soothing face massage working on drainage and lifting. This boosts circulation & energy throughout the mind-body.

Follow an EFT tapping protocol (EFT is also known as tapping therapy*). This involves tapping points on your hands & face to boost feelings of self-esteem & self-worth.

Move in restorative & mindful ways to shift stagnant energy promoting a sense of wellbeing and Rest in a guided meditation which is designed to integrate all of the senses and promote a feeling of restfulness.

Please see Vayu yoga cancellation policy when booking. We hope you understand the need for our cancellation policy, to ensure a fair system for everyone coming to the studio.

The Liminal space

A day retreat in collaboration with Centred Space in Brighton

Offering a tranquil haven to reset your body and mind and enhance your overall well-being.

A time to press pause on the busyness of daily life, so you may draw inward, and reconnect with yourself on a deeper level.

Immerse yourself in this carefully crafted retreat and reset your nervous system to its natural rhythm.

At this time of year we can gently feel into the liminal space – the space in between winter and spring – and the transition this brings. Liminal comes form the word ‘limen’, which means ‘threshold’. As we move between states, we may meet discomfort or unease, we may feel unsure of what we are moving to, what we may need to shed or let go of. As well as feeling into the seasonal transition, we might experience the liminal space during adolescence, a career change, the end of a relationship, becoming a parent, menopause, grief… at any time in life where there is a change.

These transitions ask of us to drop into the pause and reflect as opportunity to release held patterns of thought/feeling/physicality and to explore new possibilities.

Ati and I will guide you through gentle practises throughout the day which will allow you to explore this liminal space, whether you’re working with the external seasons or your own personal transitions.

The day will include:
* Gentle yoga movement
* Breath
* Meditation
* Self massage
* Mindfulness activities
* A walk in / connection to nature (Barcombe Village Hall is set in the beautiful South Downs countryside, with glass walls on two sides overlooking a lake, fields of sheep and woodlands).
* Vegetarian lunch, herbal teas and snacks

When: Saturday 16th February 2024

Time: 10am - 4pm

The Restroom

To have a soft life is consciously accepting to choose calm over chaos and cultivating a softness that sits happily in the mind body. It’s not easy but a soft life is not indulgent it’s a matter of self preservation. Creating this life that softens the heart in order to be present with life is very necessary.  When I was little my mum used to say ‘Araam Kur’ meaning ‘Go to Rest’.

I am delighted to be co facilitating this with my dear friend Emily and we would love to invite you to The Restroom; a series of heart focused gatherings which include massaging the senses to open the heart for integrating mind and body.

When: Thursday 27th February

Venue: The Spike, Guildford GU1 3JH

Includes:   Restorative yoga / Guided self face massage / Soundscape with Cello & more / Tea & heartful, homemade edible treat

Journeys at The Hannah Peschar Sculpture Garden

I am delighted to be back at this beautiful sanctuary. I have been running curated journeys here for several years and it is with great excitement that I am back at my special home.

The Journeys at the garden differ but typically include an audio recording for you to enjoy as you walk around. We will travel on a journey of compassion and tenderness as we practice the ritual of self massage and heart coherence exercises.   We will be nourished with a home made herbal tisanes and nourishing treats based on my dear ma’s recipe. As an experienced and certified eco therapist and walk & talk practitioner I am passionate about nature being the constant healer.

I am happy to offer a selection of dates and different journeys:

Chai & Wander / Wonder These specially curated sessions connect us with nature and its wonderful restorative properties.  It is well evidenced that being in nature can give us back our energy and vitality, restore our mood and promote well-being. This session will include a 20 minute guided audio (for you to keep) as you walk around the garden, entrance to the garden, group relaxation (weather dependent), a sound immersion using my wonderfully restorative crystal bowls, a tea ritual and sweet treats.

DATE: the events have now passed but will meet again in 2025
