<image:title>Home - Hello, I’m Ati…</image:title>
<image:caption>Welcome Thank you so much for visiting. I'm so happy you're here. First and foremost, I'm a human being who cares deeply about helping people find their way back to themselves. In 2025, I was honoured to receive the Muddy Stilettos Award for Best Wellbeing Specialist. What makes this award especially meaningful is that it was voted for by the public by the wonderful community I have the privilege of supporting. Community means everything to me, and I will always be grateful for that trust. My passion is helping people discover sustainable ways to care for their nervous systems so they can flourish in our busy, often overwhelming world. I believe self-care isn't about following someone else's routine - it's about finding what works for you, in a way that feels achievable, nurturing and lasting. Before stepping into the world of therapy and wellbeing, I spent several years working in the fashion, jewellery and publishing industries. Like many people, I experienced burnout, and that journey inspired me to retrain as a therapeutic counsellor. Since then, I have continued to learn, grow and expand my practice so I can offer truly integrative support to every person I meet. Today, I work as an integrative and intuitive wellbeing therapist, bringing together a range of evidence-based and holistic approaches. I am an integrative psychotherapist, clinical hypnotherapist and BACP-registered integrative counsellor. Alongside this, I am a mindfulness coach, meditation teacher, yoga and face yoga teacher, Advanced EFT (Tapping) Master Therapist, Vietnamese facial reflexology practitioner, and I'm trained in EMDR and NLP approaches. For several years I have also mentored others in the profession and offer creative clinical supervision for trainee therapists, counsellors, coaches and anyone seeking supportive reflective practice. As a qualified ecotherapist, I also offer my much-loved Chai & Wander (or Wonder) sessions - gentle walk-and-talk therapy, often accompanied by a comforting cup of chai if that's your thing. I am also a Gentle Release and EnerQi practitioner, using principles from Traditional Chinese Medicine to support whole mind-body wellbeing. My work also incorporates the therapeutic use of colour, sound and creativity, allowing us to find the approaches that resonate most with you. Above all, I believe therapeutic support is about the relationship we build together. Every person is different, so there is no one-size-fits-all programme. Instead, I work alongside you, creating a personalised journey that honours your needs, your pace and your goals. I support children, young people, adults and couples through every stage of life helping them reconnect with themselves, regulate their nervous systems, navigate life's challenges and cultivate meaningful, sustainable self-care. I often use the term mindbody because I truly believe our minds and bodies are inseparable; when we care for one, we care for the other. Whether we've worked together one-to-one, outdoors in nature, in groups or through mentoring, it has always been an honour to walk alongside people on their journey. Welcome to The Sensory Journey. I hope you find a space here where you feel seen, supported and gently encouraged to thrive. Image by Hester Barnes.</image:caption>

<image:title>The Sensory Journey - CHAI & WANDER / CHAI & WONDER</image:title>
<image:caption>As an experienced and certified eco walk & talk therapist I am passionate about nature being our co-therapist. These specially curated sessions connect us with nature and its wonderful restorative properties. Depending on your needs we will incorporate a guided wander. It is well evidenced that being in nature can give us back our energy and vitality, restore our mood and promote well being. This journey can be tailored to your needs for example and if incorporating as part of a package I may also include the use of sound healing with crystal bowls and or a homemade bircher breakfast jar to be enjoyed during the walk. Often I will provide an audio for you to enjoy as part of this experience. We will need from 60 - 120 minutes for these sessions.</image:caption>

<image:title>The Sensory Journey - FROM MY MOTHER’S KITCHEN…</image:title>
<image:caption>My mother has been my greatest teacher. She taught me that to show kindness to others one must also go inwards and tend to our internal and external home that is the body and mind. This journey is based on the concept of “Kindfulness” towards oneself. We will go on a journey of compassion and tenderness as we practice the ritual of self-massage, heart coherence exercises and EFT - tapping therapy. If this is an in person session I will incorporate the wonderfully healing element of facial reflexology, gentle release and EnerQi. The journey will end with a guided visualisation on compassion and tenderness. This session is based on remedies that my mother has shared with me and we will be nourished with a home made herbal tea or chai and a nourishing edible treat based on her restorative recipe.</image:caption>

<image:title>The Sensory Journey - EXPLORE</image:title>
<image:caption>As a trained and experienced talking therapist , integrative psychotherapist and counsellor, I will support you to find out what will help you in this journey. In my experience I have found some people come to me for talking therapy and prefer to explore their creative side through walking, eco therapy or using art as a therapeutic tool. During this Journey I will gently introduce many of the modalities I work with and we will explore this through talking therapy, eft - tapping therapy, the use of mindfulness and weather permitting - walking in nature. Although being outside in nature has been incredibly healing for the people I have supported, come rain or shine we can rely on the elements to hold us as we let go. I may also suggest gentle movement in the form of yoga as this has been incredible in soothing a tired nervous system through restorative postures and the use of mantras and affirmations.</image:caption>

<image:title>The Sensory Journey - SEED…</image:title>
<image:caption>During Seed The Sensory Journey we will look at our seeds of thought and how our thoughts and beliefs (perhaps from childhood) may have shaped our thinking. Thoughts do not come in a straight line they come from so many different directions and have can have impact on our sense of self. It has been said we have thousands of thoughts that enter and leave our brain everyday. I will support you in looking at some of your thoughts and we will work on exercises that have a positive impact on strengthening your neural pathways to reframe these beliefs. I may incorporate hypnosis in this journey. During this journey we may explore aspects of self through creative writing, hypnotherapy, yoga, exploration with parts / feelings boards (similar to the concept of a vision board but looking at the part that may be stuck) and you will be guided on a beautiful visualisation, We will look at aspects of your younger self and we will do this in a safe and supported space. Some people like to add on Vietnamese facial reflexology to this element. You can also add breakfast or lunch as part of this session to make it into a beautiful self compassionate retreat.</image:caption>

<image:title>The Sensory Journey - BOUNDARY…</image:title>
<image:caption>A large part of self care is releasing what does not serve a purpose and letting go of these limiting thoughts is setting boundaries – for ourselves and others. This journey will focus on these attachments and we will work together to release with kindness; to allow room for space and clarity. Boundaries are different for everyone but they are essentially guidelines on how we respond to others. Setting boundaries helps immensely in our communication with others. Tapping therapy combined with movement is very effective for releasing limiting beliefs so we will spend time talking about these beliefs and tapping along to release them. Automatic thought writing has been known to release unconscious thoughts on paper allowing for space and reflection – and we will also incorporate this into the session to free up space to start working towards better boundaries. I may use hypnosis during the sessions - this is very gentle and non invasive.</image:caption>

<image:title>The Sensory Journey - ROOT…</image:title>
<image:caption>We are bombarded by thoughts – thousands come and go each and every day. Quite often when we are stuck in a thought it can manifest into our bodies and we experience ill health. Our wellbeing is affected and the cycle can often continue. It may be difficult to perceive but by strengthening our neural pathways; through soothing and kind self talk, working on boundaries, meditation, talking and doing things that nurture you these stuck thoughts can diminish over time. This journey will focus on the concept of mindfulness and will look at how we use boundaries to support this. I will show how you can stay present to what is going on around you in a kind and nurturing way. We will work on soothing strategies that you can access at any time. I will also record an audio for you to use in your own time. which is a progressive muscle relaxation that will gently reset the nervous system. This journey will include a mindful eating exercise and we will also explore our sense of scent with the use of essential oils.</image:caption>

<image:title>The Sensory Journey</image:title>
<image:caption>A GENTLE RELEASE and EnerQi facial rejuvenation. I am delighted to offer this wonderfully soothing and powerful therapy. Gentle Release Therapy is considered a mixture of energy work and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) which combined with gentle techniques that allow the body to release in a restorative and soothing way. I have experienced this for myself virtually – which was remarkable as I wasn’t sure how effective it would be online however I released tension in parts of my body that I didn’t realise were there. As a qualified Gentle Release Practitioner my main focus is supporting you to regain balance in your body and holding a space for you to explore the release. I have used this wonderful therapy alongside hypnotherapy to induce a relaxed and calm state before starting the release work. How does it work? I am pleased to offer these treatments in person now but they can be done virtually! You are lying down and fully clothed. I have also worked on clients that want to remain seated. I use Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) to understand what's going on in the body. By placing my hands gently on parts of the body I will support the release. The parts of the body are linked to the organs according to TCM. In addition to the organs I will also work on cranial release (head / neck). We also have extremely gentle emotional release techniques that we can use if there is an issue in particular that's causing you stress. In addition to the TCM work with the abdominal organs we also incorporate cranial release into treatments which involves an extremely light touch that allows the body to further release. We also have techniques that release the endocrine (hormone system) and lymphatic system. All treatments are tailored to deal with what your body needs to release at that moment in time. EnerQi can be added onto this session which includes face massage using Gua Sha and Jade roller to target specific points on the face. This has had wonderful restorative and relaxing effects on my clients - men and women love it.</image:caption>

<image:caption>NOCTURNE… I have experienced insomnia since childhood and I know how debilitating it can be. During this journey we will look at your patterns of sleep and support you with gentle tweaks that may help towards better rest. We are all different and having supported many people over the years with sleep related issues and I am certain we can find a way to help with your sleep journey. How to cultivate a loving relationship with your mindbody. During an in person session we may do a combination of the following: a series of gentle restorative yoga movements - this is very gentle and aims to promote deep release. sleep focussed mindfulness rituals - techniques that I have used over the years to support my sleep journey. a beautiful soothing guided visualisation to send you on a restorative journey of deep rest. use the restorative power of facial reflexology and Gentle Release Therapy. use a hypnosis audio. will also show you how to incorporate self-massage into your sleep routine. Practise the art of automatic thought writing and drawing. Use tapping and talking therapy to unfurl ruminating thoughts.</image:caption>

<image:title>The Sensory Journey - WORKING WITH PARTS</image:title>
<image:caption>I have used Art as a therapeutic tool to support my own wellbeing for some time now. My experience over the years has been to encourage using different modalities such as art and writing to articulate feelings that we cannot express through the spoken word. I am hugely passionate about therapeutic boards; also known as vision or story boards. At times we are unable to articulate in words how we feel so I encourage the use of these boards as a way to tap into our unconscious mind. You do not need to be good at Art to do this! We use images, photographs, dried flowers, magazine clippings anything that helps with the making of your board. These boards can be used in a number of ways from working out the next journey that you want to go on or mapping out what may be hindering your journey in tbe present..these boards are also used for inner child work and combined with hypnotherapy a wonderfully supportive tool for your well-being journey. We will start the session with a wonderful creative visualisation and tapping therapy. I will provide all of the tools you need for this wonderfully creative and enlightening session. <image:title>The Sensory Journey - PRISM..using colour as a therapeutic tool</image:title>
<image:caption>You may find that certain colours create a certain energy when you either wear or are surrounded by them. Colour has been widely used for centuries to support well-being. Having completed training in the use of colour as a therapeutic tool; I have always been fascinated by patterns and shapes but more importantly the colour that feels like home. Your internal compass. We will look in detail at what this means to you. During this session we will look at the colours that are connected to your internal compass, your colour chart and focus on one or two energy centres in your body that may need support. This session will involve a soothing guided visualisation using each energy centre in your body to promote a sense of balance and grounding. The beautiful addition of crystal quartz singing bowls and hypnotherapy may complement your journey.</image:caption>

During the pandemic I have supported teachers on line with relaxation and mindfulness. I am currently offering well-being support at several schools in Surrey and London.</image:caption>

<image:title>Talking therapy - My experience…</image:title>
<image:caption>For several years I worked for a charity supporting families with disabled children. Setting up my own private practise within this setting I had the opportunity to work with people experiencing anxiety, depression and trauma. I also worked with relationships (between the family unit and their child/ren). I continue to support children and young people within a home and school setting and work as a school therapist for part of my week. I was proud to be a part of Holland & Barretts me.no.pause campaign raising awareness around the menopause. I am passionate about supporting women through their menopause journey. I am also in private practice and my offering is extended to one to one work, couples and groups. I am happy to visit in your own home (subject to a risk assessment) and I also work from a clinic in Guildford, Surrey. During lockdown I have been offering therapeutic support via zoom and have reinstated walking sessions within the Surrey Hills.</image:caption>

<image:title>Talking therapy - YOUR JOURNEY IS UNIQUE TO YOU… These are the main modalities of therapy that I have been trained in and a brief description of each.</image:title>
<image:caption>First and fore-most I work in a person-centred way. I will encourage you to draw on your unique strengths and use the insight about yourself to encourage your personal growth – on a mind body and soul level. Humanistic: This is based on the principle of looking at the individual as a whole person which includes marrying the fundamental connection between body, spirit and soul. Mindfulness-based: I have been practising mindfulness for a number of years now and incorporate this with all of my sessions – one to ones to group work. I like to focus on the concept of kindfulness. That is to become aware of thoughts and feelings and accepting them with kindness and a sense of curiosity. A typical session may include using specific techniques such as breath work and tapping. Arts or creative: I have completed training in the creative use of Art as a therapeutic tool. Using creative processes such as drawing, painting and applying drama as a means to explore and communicate difficult or confusing feelings without talking. Solution focussed – also known as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy: Exploring your thoughts and the way you think and act in your space and in the presence of others. There is a strong focus on what you want to achieve in the future rather than exploring past experiences. We stay in the present and work with what we have. Psychodynamic (or dynamic): Explores how your unconscious thoughts might affect the way you act and examining unconscious, deep-rooted thoughts that may stem from childhood.</image:caption>

<image:caption>The Listening Space at Eagle Lodge The Listening Space: Listening inward, held by sound and story We are delighted to invite you to a series of gentle, restorative wellbeing workshops combining the power of sound and storytelling My dear friend Shirley is an experienced sound practitioner who works beautifully with music to create immersive and nurturing experiences. Working with music & sound in the community since 2005 with people of all ages and backgrounds, a trained Soundhealing and Yoga Nidra Practitioner. Stories can offer new perspectives, soothe the mind, and support emotional regulation, helping to calm the nervous system in a natural and accessible way. Together, through the weaving of sound and story, we invite you into a space where you can pause, reflect, and reconnect. From this place of embodied support, we will transition into a longer yoga nidra–style guided rest, offering deep nourishment for the mind. This extended visualisation invites the brain and nervous system into a state of profound calm, supporting clarity, steadiness, and inner quiet. Everything offered is invitational and designed to cultivate a sense of safety, containment, and being held. This is not a space to strive or achieve. It is a return to the body as a home, and to rest as a necessity. You will be further nourished with a warming cup of golden milk and a homemade sweet treat inspired by my mother, Fatma, offered as a gesture of care and comfort These sessions are designed to help you feel calm, rested, and held. When: Saturday 26th September, 2–4pm at the sacred Eagle Lodge, Liss Cost : £45 with refreshments included Book: The Listening space</image:caption>

<image:title>Events - The Art of Rest: The Gentle Return In a world that asks us to keep moving, this is an invitation to return. The Art of Rest: The Gentle Return is a two-hour guided gathering devoted to grounding, restoration, and deep, conscious rest. This is part of a rolling programme of events curated for Amble. This offering centres on the foundation of the body and the settling of the mind. When we feel supported at our root, the nervous system can begin to soften. From this place, the mind can slowly come to rest. Root & Mind This session focuses on the base of the body, the root as a place of safety, stability, and belonging. Through gentle somatic practices, you will be guided into slow, respectful movement and awareness at the base of the spine. These subtle practices support the release of held or stagnant energy, allowing the body to lead without force or expectation. From this place of embodied grounding, we will transition into an extended yoga nidra style guided rest. This deeply nourishing practice invites the brain and nervous system into a state of profound calm, supporting clarity, steadiness, and inner quiet. Everything offered is invitational. This is a space to soften, to be held, and to reconnect with the body as a place of home. What to Expect: A 2-hour deeply restorative guided experience Gentle somatic practices to support grounding and release An extended yoga nidra–style rest for nervous system restoration A calm, nurturing environment with no pressure to perform or achieve Warming golden milk A homemade sweet treat inspired by Ati’s mother, Fatma No experience is needed. This space is open to anyone seeking rest, support, and reconnection. This is not a space to strive or achieve. It is a return to the body as a home. To rest as a necessity. This is a space for everyone, at every stage of life whether you are moving towards menopause, within it, beyond it or whether menopause doesn’t feel relevant to you right now. Because this is not only about menopause. It is about how we support ourselves through change, fatigue and the quiet ways the body asks for rest. The Intention Menopause is not just a moment it is a transition that can affect the body, mind, and nervous system in subtle and profound ways. This gathering is not about fixing or pushing through symptoms. It is about learning how to support yourself through rest, awareness, and gentle practices you can return to again and again. <image:title>Events - Layers of the Self : retreat through movement, touch & inner mapping</image:title>
<image:caption>Layers of the Self is a gentle, creative, and embodied retreat exploring the many parts that make up who we are and how they can be held, heard, and integrated into a sense of wholeness. Using movement, breath, touch, symbolism, and nourishment, this retreat invites you to slow down and meet yourself with curiosity and compassion. Through the symbolic use of nesting dolls, we will explore different layers of the self: the parts that protect, feel, think, and hold our experiences, while staying rooted in the body as a place of safety and connection. This is not about fixing or changing yourself it is about welcoming each part and allowing them to belong within the whole. What the Retreat Includes Somatic Yoga An accessible, all-levels practice focusing on sensing rather than striving. Movement and breath support the heart, head, and lungs, inviting spaciousness, grounding, and nervous system regulation. Inner Mapping with Nesting Dolls (Parts Work) Using nesting dolls as a tactile and symbolic tool, we will gently explore different parts of the self: inner roles, emotions, and protective layers. This playful yet meaningful practice supports self-understanding, boundaries, and integration, allowing each part to be seen and held within the whole. Touch, Presence & Emotional Softening Through guided, optional self-touch and embodied awareness, we will explore how emotions live in the body, particularly around the heart, head, and breath. These practices support release, soothing, and reconnection, offered as a self-practice guided with care and respect. Who This Retreat Is For This retreat is open to anyone seeking: A deeper connection with themselves Gentle nervous system support Creative and embodied self-exploration Rest, nourishment, and emotional ease All practices are inclusive, adaptable, and optional. No prior experience with yoga, therapy, or parts work is required. Layers of the Self is an invitation to come home to every part of you with softness, curiosity, and care. Ati and Louise are long-standing friends and collaborators who bring over 25 years of combined experience in therapeutic and wellbeing work. Their approach is rooted in warmth, trust, and deep respect for the whole person, blending yoga therapy, somatic movement, and integrative therapeutic models. Together, they offer a grounded, intuitive, and thoughtful space, drawing on their collective knowledge, lived experience, and wisdom to support meaningful connection, healing, and integration. When: This event has now passed we will be running another one in Autumn 2026 Where: Warnham Yurt, Naboths, Northlands Road, RH12 3SQ Cost: £ per person - You will also enjoy a lovingly prepared South Asian-inspired lunch, rooted in nourishment, warmth, and tradition.
